These are seven essential Biblical teachings that we adhere to at Faith Community Church as a local Christian Church.

1. The Bible is God's inspired Word and is totally trustworthy (II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:19-20).

2. God is the eternal Being and Creator of all things. He is the only God (Isaiah 40:10-11; 44:6-8).

3. Jesus Christ is God's only-begotton Son. He is God, and the only Person of the Godhead that man has ever seen (John 1:1, 12, 18; Hebrews 1:8-9).

4. Salvation is the result of faith alone. Good works, baptism, communion, etc. have no part in securing this (Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5-6).

5. An everlasting punishment in a literal, eternal hell is the destiny of all those who refuse God's gift of eternal life (Romans 6:23; Revelation 21:8).

6. The blood of Jesus Christ paid the price of God's just punishment of man's sin, so all that remains for man is to accept the sacrifice of Christ as a gift from God (II Corinthians 5:21; I Peter 1:18-19).

7. After a person has become a true Christian they will seek to live a life pleasing to God. It is the natural result of becoming a new person in Christ (II Corinthians 5:17; Ephesians 2:10).
